I’ll be honest! I have never had to have a shoe repaired. Growing up I would hear my grandmother speaking of getting a heel replaced, but I never thought I would need such a service. Fast forward to 2023 and guess what I needed????? I have 2 pairs of sneakers that I love and adore. Not only because they are super dope, but because they are timeless classics (IMO)! Recently, the soul of the Foamposites began to separate and the soul of one of my Jordans dry rotted. After doing a Google search I learned about College Park Shoe Repair. Wanting to get the full insight I pulled the business up on Yelp and was sold after reading the reviews. I trust my fellow Yelpers. I dropped my sneakers off on a Saturday. Though the business was super busy, the did not lack when it came to the 1:1 attention they provided. The young man who received my sneakers took the time to review what was needed and set a turnaround time of two weeks. I obtained my drop ticket and hoped for the best. About 2 hrs after I left, the young man reached out via text and advised that the repair would be more extensive than what was first thought. He confirmed the dry rot of the Jordan and detailed all that would go into the repair. I confirmed that was fine and understood that 2 weeks was no longer the expectation. Fast forward to today! After being contacted last week that my sneakers were ready I arrived for pick up. **Sidenote, I love how they rearranged the store. It is more spacious and has more of a personal feel. Kudos to whoever had the idea for the switch up… back to today! Upon walking in I provided the young man my slip and he went in back to retrieve my sneakers. When he came back he presented the bag and began to open it. This was the moment of truth! It was ALL or NOTHING!!!! Oh. My. Gosh!!!!! My sneakers look AMAZING!!!!! The Foamposites look like new, furthermore, they cleaned off my personal attempt at re-glueing. (Don’t judge me. LoL) Also, the Jordan’s now only look amazing, however, you can also feel the strength in the repair. Wow! To say I am pleased with the work provided would be an understatement. I am beyond elated at the service I received personally as well as professionally. The care for my items was awesome and the cost of the repairs was very affordable. I can truly and wholeheartedly say based on this experience I will be a returning customer anytime I find myself needing a shoe or sneaker repair. To the professionals behind the scenes who made my pleasurable experience possible, I thank you. To the owners, I thank you. Gone are the days of me thinking shoe repairs are just for my grandmother. LoL!!!!
